Bonita Austin brings over eight years of experience as an occupational therapist, specializing in home care settings. She earned her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from American International College in Springfield, MA, in 2016, after completing her undergraduate studies in Liberal Arts at Capital Community College in Hartford, CT.
During her Level II fieldwork at Hebrew Home and Hospital in West Hartford, Bonita focused on group therapy for individuals with acute mental health needs, enhancing social participation and self-awareness. This formative experience solidified her passion for habilitative care and delivering client-centered solutions.
Throughout her career, Bonita has excelled in empowering individuals to achieve independence and engage in meaningful activities by tailoring interventions to their unique needs. Her most recent role as a Therapy Supervisor at Advanced Home Health Care Agency in West Hartford further showcased her leadership in fostering collaboration among clients, families, and healthcare teams.
