Jennifer O’Brian

Program Coordinator

Jennifer was promoted to a Program Coordinator position due to her possessing more than 20 years of dedicated experience working with individuals facing diverse challenges such as acquired brain injuries (ABI), developmental disabilities, physical disabilities, and mental health disorders. 

Alongside her array of experience, Jennifer also possesses disability industry-specific certifications in CPR and first aid, Physical Restraint and Crisis Intervention (PMT), Residential Assessment (RAC-CT), Resident Assistant (RA), Independent Living Skills (ILST), and medication administration in the State of Connecticut.

Jennifer’s commitment to the community service field is deeply rooted in personal experience, with her supporting a son diagnosed with autism. Advocating for his needs inspired her to pursue a career focused on supporting others in similar situations and enabled her to quickly develop professional bonds with her assigned participants and their family members.

In addition, Jennifer is deeply passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of those she supports and she has brought her extensive experience and dedication to her role with SLG.
