Vice President of Operations
Kimberly is committed to carrying out the vision of founder Christopher Brisson by advancing innovative client-driven programming and striving to provide services that not only meet the standard but exceed the expectations of those living with disabilities and of their families.
Growing up, Kimberly’s family operated a ministry and counseling center whose focus was caring for survivors of a wide range of traumatic experiences. At a young age, Kimberly was strongly compassionate to help others to overcome the many obstacles of living with challenges and disabilities. She became involved in Hemlocks volunteer programs, spending “buddy” weeks at their campground where she would stay with challenged children her age, getting to know these individuals on a personal level. These experiences ingrained a passion for helping that she later brought into her professional career.
Kimberly brings with her a vast array of experience. While attending Springfield College she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Matulaitis Nursing Home. She later transitioned to working with displaced teenage girls through the Access Agency, while finalizing her degree. She graduated Suma Cum Laude from Springfield College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Services, minoring in Criminal Justice. She later took an internship at the Alternative Incarceration Center through Perception Programs where she was certified to teach Cognitive Development and Anger Management courses. But in 2007, when she came to work for The Supported Living Group, she found her passion in working with adults who have survived traumatic brain injury.
As Director of Operations, Kimberly supervises all functions and programming for the agency and maintains the company philosophy where each client is treated as an individual with personal goals, dreams, and a purpose-driven life. She oversees that all aspects of the person-centered service plan are adhered to and built upon with each individual’s interdisciplinary team. She also sees to it that staff are properly educated on policy and procedure, client-specific orientation, and understand and adopt the philosophies of this agency. Kimberly is known by her clients and staff alike to be a strong support for any and all of their needs and concerns and always open to listening to new and different ideas.
